Ingredients for 4 persons

  • Poplar mushrooms: 400 g
  • Olive oil: a splash – watch video 😉
  • Garlic: 4
  • Parsley: 4 sprigs
  • Salt: To taste – watch video 😉
  • Cognac: A quarter of a glass of coffee

How to make mushrooms with garlic and parsley

  1. Start by washing the mushrooms well, cut them and set them aside in a bowl.
  2. Chop or mince the garlic and parsley, once chopped, set aside.
  3. Put the poplar mushrooms in a large frying pan or casserole dish and stir them to remove all their water.
  4. When all the water is drained out, strain them and put them back in the pan. This time we add olive oil, the chopped garlic and parsley and a little salt to taste, you can watch the video to see the approximate amount.
  5. After a couple of minutes, add a splash of cognac, which will give it a unique flavour and aroma.
  6. Leave it to cook for 15 minutes over a medium heat so that all the flavours integrate and it is ready to eat.

Tips for mushrooms with garlic and parsley

  • Recipe tip: The mushrooms need to have all their water removed for a good result.
  • Freezing the sautéed mushrooms: To freeze the mushrooms, simply leave them al dente and take them out a few minutes before cooking. Once we need the mushrooms again, we defrost them and finish sautéing them in a frying pan.
